Age Limit
The IBPS Clerk age limit for general category is
- Minimum 20 years
- Maximum 28 years
Nationality
Candidates applying for the examination should meet with the following standards:
- Must be a Citizenship of India
- Must be a Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee who arrived prior to 1 January 1962
- A person of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma(Myanmar), Vietnam or East African countries of the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire or Ethiopia to permanently settle in India
All candidates who are not Indian citizens have to produce a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India before their appointment.
Educational Qualification
As per the IBPS Clerk eligibility, candidates should have at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university to appear in the examination.
IBPS Clerk Educational Qualification- Salient points
- Computer literacy is a necessary element.
- The candidate must be able to read & write in the official language, whichever they have indicated as their preferred service destination.
- Ex-servicemen who are not graduates should have at least a matriculation certificate along with 15 years of service. They should have been awarded the Army Special Certificate of Education or its equivalent in the Air Force or Navy.
The Institute does not specify any IBPS Clerk eligibility percentage. The individual banks use the IBPS calculation of aggregate percentage for their purposes.

IBPS Clerk Admit Card Details:
- Got to the IBPS official website https://ibps.in/.
- Click on the IBPS Official Link to download IBPS Clerk Admit Card for Prelims, Mains as mentioned on the page.
- Fill the required information i.e. registration number or roll number in that link.
- Now, enter your password provided during your IBPS Clerk online application form submission or your date of birth (DOB) details.
- Now, click on the ‘Login’ button
- Your IBPS Clerk Admit Card will be displayed on the screen for download and print out.
How to apply for IBPS Clerk?
- Click on CRP Clerical and click on “Click Here For New Registration”

Here candidates have to fill in the following details:- Name
- Contact Number
- Email ID
- Upload the photograph and signatures. The size and clarity requirements are stated on the website as follows:
- Only passport size photographs of 4.5 by 3.5 cm or 200 by 230 pixels in a light background are allowed. The file should not be larger than 30 kb or smaller than 20 kb.
- Face and eyes should be clearly visible and no headgear except religious symbols are allowed.
- Signature should not be in capitals and should be on white paper with black ink.
- The signature file should be less than 140 by 60 pixels and of 20 kb or less size. Make sure to maintain consistency while signing so that the signature can be used again for later steps.
- Once the last step of the IBPS Clerk online registration process is done, fill in educational details on the next page and move on to the page where details of organisational preference need to be filled.
- After filling educational details and organisational preference, review the IBPS Clerk online application form and submit it.
- The fee for the examination needs to be paid online. It is Rs 600 for general category/OBC and Rs. 100 for SC/ST/PWD and ex-servicemen.
- Take a printout of the completed IBPS Clerk online application form and e-receipt generated after this step.
