IBPS Exam is conducted in two sections, 1st is Preliminary part and the 2nd one is the main part. Whether talking about Marks, Time Duration or Number of Questions both of these examinations are totally different from each other. Examination date of IBPS PO exam date for the preliminary and main exam is approximate during October and November.

- The IBPS PO preliminary examination will be conducted online and candidates are allocated a total duration of 1 hour to complete the preliminary exam.
- The paper will have three sections in total 30 marks, 35 marks, 35 marks are allotted to papers respectively.
- Paper will be of total 100 marks.
- Negative marking is allotted for each wrong answer. 0.25 marks will get deducted for every wrong answer.
It is compulsory to clear the cut-off, all three paper have their individual cut-off.

IBPS PO Main exam pattern
- It is a descriptive type mode paper, which means you’ll give the exam in the written mode.
- An essay and a letter consist of 25 marks.
- Time duration will be allotted to complete the paper is of 30 minutes.
- The overall time duration allotted for IBPS main exam will be 180 minutes.
- There is no separate paper for Computer Application students. Reasoning and Computer Aptitude section got merged and make a separate section of 45 questions and 60 marks in total.

IBPS Preliminary Syllabus 2021
The preliminary syllabus includes three subjects named as English Language having marks weightage of 30 marks, Quantitative Aptitude having marks weightage of 35 marks, Reasoning ability having marks weightage of 35 marks.
The total number of questions will be 100, which needs to be complete in 60 minutes. Means time allotted for each paper will be of 20 minutes.
