➼ Exam Pattern RRB group D

The RRB Group D selection process comprises three stages. Any changes in this post-exam pattern are decided or done by the conducting body of this examination.

  1. CBT (Computer Based Test)
  2. PET (Physical Efficiency Test)
  3. DV (Document Verification)

➼ CBT (Computer Based Test)

This is a computer-based test of RRB Group D examination, the time provided for this examination will be 1 and a half hours. The maximum number of questions will be 100. There will be negative marking scheme in this Examination. Hence, for every wrong answer, 1/3rd marks will be deducted from the total score.

➼ PET (Physical Efficiency Test)

After successfully clearing the CBT exam i.e. accomplishing the minimum qualifying marks as set by the board, candidates are called for the PET test, which is the next round of RRB Group D selection process.

This post’s PET is just qualifying in nature i.e. it is compulsory for candidates to clear the exam. Hence, but the marks obtained won’t be counted during the final selection of candidates.

➼ DV (Document Verification)

Candidates who qualify these above-mentioned stages i.e CBT (Computer Based Test), PET (Physical Efficiency Test) will be the part of the merit list, which is mounted on the basis of RRB Group D vacancies, and these candidates can move towards the Document Verification process. Hence, this is the last stage of the selection procedure.

Number System, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Intrests, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Stastistics, Squareroot, Age Calculations, Calendar and Clock, Pipes and Cistern, etc. 

Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operation, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision making, similarities and Differences, Analytical Reasonung, Classification, Directions, Statement-Arguments and Assumptions, etc.

The Syllabus shall cover Physics, Chemistry and Life Science of 10th Standard Level(CBSE)

Science and Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subjects of importance

➼ Eligibility Criteria RRB group D

Candidates preferring to apply for the RRB Group D exam must meet certain requirements to be eligible to sit for the Group D railway exam.

The conditions for eligibility of this post is decided by the driving agency itself. The eligibility criteria to be met by candidates are prescribed in detail in the official notification of RRB Group D.

The candidate’s eligibility for the this post-exam is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:

➼ Nationality

A candidate is eligible to sit for the RRB Group D exam only if he/she is:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject from Nepal, or
  • A subject from Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India from January 1, 1962, and before.
  • A Candidate of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia and Vietnam, with the intention of forever residing in India.
    Whenever a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) submits a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India to the recruiting body.

➼ How to apply for RRB group D?

  1. Visit the official RRB website of the respective RRB region.
  2. Click the link “Railroad Group D Recruitment Notice” mentioned over there.
  3. Read all the guidelines carefully and click the “Apply Online” button.
  4. Select “New Registration” if you are applying for the first time and have not registered before.
  5. Fill in all the requested details, such as personal, contact and academic information.
  6. Upload the photo and signature in the scanned format and size.
  7. Please make the payment of the RRB Group D application form fee (details are provided below).
  8. Recheck the information provided and submit this post online request form.
  9. Take the impression of the RRB Group D application form for future reference.

➼ Admit card

  1. Go to the official website for your particular RRB region.
  2. Click the “Download Admission Card” link
  3. Enter your login ID, password, and OTP.
  4. After entering the details, the RRB Group D admit card will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Download the RRB Group D Hall Ticket.
  6. Take a printout of the downloaded RRB admit card.
