SSC CHSL 2021 Eligibility Criteria: The exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for each branch. The committee has previously announced the recruitment details of SSC CHSL 2021.

Candidates read this article to understand the detailed eligibility criteria required for the SSC CHSL exam 2021.

Candidates must Check Eligibility Criteria before applying in SSC CHSL

Here is the list of Eligibility standards which is fulfilled by the candidates before going to apply for the exam.

  3. Nationality

SSC CHSL 2021 age limit criteria depend on the corresponding position. Candidate should at least 18 years old and not more than 27 years old as on 1st January 2020, (i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1993 and not later than 01-01-2002).

Min. Age Limit – 18 years

Max. Age Limit – 27 years

Age Relaxation:

Candidates in the reserved category have some age relaxations in the upper age limit, as follows:

Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)

5 years

Other Backward Class (OBC)

3 years

Persons with Disabilities (PwD) (Unreserved)

10 years

PwD (OBC)

13 years

PwD (SC/ST)

15 years

Ex-Servicemen (ESM)

3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on closing date of receipt of online application

Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during the period from January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989

5 years

Defence personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof

3 years

Defence personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof (SC/ST)

8 years

Central Government civilian employees who have rendered not less than three years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of online applications

Upto 40 years

Central Government civilian employees who have rendered not less than three years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of online applications (SC/ST)

Upto 45 years

Widows/divorced women/women judicially separated and not remarried

Upto 35 years

Note: Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.

SSC CHSL Eligibility 2021: Educational Qualification

Eligible candidates should hold a minimum qualification related to the position in which they are positioned. 

In fact, each candidate should pass at least an admission/intake certificate or an equivalent degree from the Board/University.

Data Entry Operator (DEO) in Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG)

The candidates should be 12th pass in Science Stream (Mathematics) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

SSC CHSL 2021: Nationality

To apply for SSC CHSL 2021, applicants should be the citizens of any of the below-mentioned regions. They are eligible for the exam as per the SSC CHSL Notification if they fulfill any of the nationality criteria as listed below:

A candidate must be either:

  1. a citizen of India, or
  2. a subject of Nepal, or 
  3. a subject of Bhutan, or 
  4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Note:

  • Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
  • A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.
